Mata Traders- Autumn/Winter 2021

Originally derived from a color story depicting the spice markets of india, this collection expanded to include trending seasonal themes such as animal print. With the goal of introducing their uniquely vibrant, kitschy brand to a broader market, I worked closely with the design team at Mata Traders to develop a series of custom prints that would capture their core customer while also reaching out to a more trend driven, but still craft conscious, consumer.

You can see images of the Hide Print (renamed Savanna Stripe) on body here. This print was produced in 1 colorway and 4 dresses (including plus sized options!) during the Spring 2022 collection.

The Zebra Print can be seen here. The zebra print was a hit with the Mata Traders customer - the first season it was released, it was bought out completely by wholesalers even prior to hitting the market. As a result, this print has been introduced in new bodies and new colorways every season now for 3 years.
