Mata Traders: Summer Jewelry 2019

At the cross section of craft and modern markets, this collection aimed to expand the material vocabulary of past seasons by modernizing traditional techniques. I worked with artisan groups to translate techniques such as hand painting to more modern, market-friendly finishes, such as the painted patina seen below.

The Beaded Canvas Earrings, inspired by woven wall hangings and traditional beading work, were the bestselling piece of the collection.
